NEW YORK, United States - Japanese sculptor Toshio Sasaki's design for the World Trade Center (WTC) memorial in New York is selected as one of the eight finalists. A total of 5,201 designs from 63 countries were sent for the memorial, to be set up at the former site of the WTC destroyed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
